Information we collect

If you use one of our online tools, the answers you enter are processed in your browser to produce a result. Those tool inputs are not stored on our servers unless you choose to send them to us as part of an enquiry.

Our website and hosting systems process technical information needed to serve and secure the site, which can include IP address, browser or device information and requested pages. Optional analytics and advertising technologies are handled separately and do not load until the relevant consent category is accepted.

Cookies and analytics

We use a cookie preference tool to record your choices. Google Analytics 4 loads only after analytics consent is accepted, and Meta Pixel loads only after targeting consent is accepted. Rejecting optional cookies prevents those scripts from loading. You can change or withdraw consent using Cookie settings in the footer. Chat

The Chat with us service loads only when you choose to open it. Once activated, it can record the chat messages, any name or email address you provide, the page visited, IP address and browser details. Local storage is used to remember the chat on your device.

How long we keep information

Enquiry information is kept for as long as needed for the enquiry, any ongoing business relationship and applicable legal, accounting or regulatory requirements. We do not use one automatic retention period for every record. Live chat data follows a separate process with a 20-day archive and deletion from the live system after 90 days; operational backup archives may be retained for longer. When other personal information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it where appropriate.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. You can also object to direct marketing at any time. Hosting and international processing

This website is hosted on Oracle Cloud infrastructure in the United States. Oracle’s published Services Privacy Policy states that transfers of UK service personal information are subject to the UK Addendum or another appropriate transfer mechanism. See Oracle’s Services Privacy Policy.

Website notification email is sent through SMTP2GO. Our account is hosted in the EU, while SMTP2GO is operated by Sand Dune Mail Limited in New Zealand. The account data processing agreement incorporates standard contractual clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum for relevant transfers where required. Google states that its data processing terms are incorporated for UK-based Google Analytics customers. See Google Analytics Data Processing Terms. Analytics and advertising providers may process data outside the UK after the relevant optional consent is given. These statements describe the provider arrangements we rely on and are not a claim that we have independently audited every transfer safeguard.
